Introduction to Low Frequency Modeling
Course Description
The Introduction to Low Frequency Modeling course is designed for JGW users who want to use EarthModel FT for the low frequency models for JGW inversions. This course will familiarize you with the basic functions of the EarthModel FT software. This is a practical course and participants are required to work through examples using the software. Introduction to RockScale is designed to teach students the concepts involved in moving JGW results into corner point grids constructed within FastTracker or imported from another geologic modeling package. Exercises are used to teach students the practical steps involved in the process.
Specific topics include the following:
- EarthModel FT
- Building structural models with EarthModel FT
- Building property models with EarthModel FT
RockScale:
- Understanding different grids and concepts for moving between them
- Importing deterministic inversion results to corner point grids
- Importing geostatistical inversion results to corner point grids
Most sessions of Introduction to EarthModel FT include Introduction to RockScale immediately following it. You will be informed if the session you have registered for will not include the RockScale course.
