Introduction to Geostatistical Inversion (JGW301)
Course Description
This course covers the basic theoretical concepts and software components necessary to perform geostatistical inversion in the Jason Geoscience Workbench. Since knowledge of various geostatistical principles such as multivariate distributions and variograms is necessary, pertinent introductions to these topics are included in the course lectures.
Prerequisites
Introduction to Acoustic Impedance Inversion (JGW 101) and experience performing inversion projects.
Course Benefits
Upon completion of this course, participants will have the ability to run basic StatMod MC projects, in conjunction with other modules of JGW, to perform geostatistical inversion, QC the parameters and analyze the results with minimal expert supervision.
