The Challenge

The Company’s core product, the Jason Geoscience Workbench®, provides a wide range of innovative solutions for 3D reservoir modeling and characterization. These solutions are based on an integrated, high-tech approach, using quantitative techniques such as seismic inversion, geological modeling, rock physics, velocity modeling, and geostatistical modeling and inversion. All technology is proprietary to Fugro-Jason. The technology is developed through in-house research and in some cases in co-operation with international oil companies’ research labs. The technology is marketed worldwide to oil companies as a software product or as a project service, performed at our offices or on-site with clients.

Your Opportunity

Our FastTracker® interactive geologic modelling package, with its unique UpdateAbility™ concept, is a very powerful software product which integrates structural modelling, reservoir-property modelling, upscaling and direct output to most flow simulators.

Fugro-Jason (UK) Ltd is looking to recruit highly motivated and technically excellent geoscientists. You will be involved in conducting quantitative reservoir characterization work for our oil company clients. Experience of seismic inversion is essential and knowledge of rock physics, AVO, attribute analysis, interpretation and geostatistics would be beneficial.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Provide advanced FastTracker usage support to Fugro-Jason staff.
• Develop and present training programs to Fugro-Jason staff and customers.
• Supply project support, including project supervision.
• Help define, and certify new FastTracker versions.

These responsibilities will involve travel. A considerable amount of time will be spent with the FastTracker development team in Wallingford.

Prospective candidates will have several years of industry experience in Geological Modelling, including detailed experience of at least one relevant software package.
