Due to continued growth and demand for our services we are seeking qualified candidates for several positions in our European based operations.
After an initial training period, your key responsibility is to undertake integrated, quantitative reservoir characterisation projects based on the Jason Geoscience Workbench® & PowerLog® technology. Depending on your experience, the scope of your involvement can range from execution of work assignments within such projects to customer training, to independently defining and managing large, integrated multidisciplinary projects. In all positions you will be involved with applying leading edge reservoir characterisation technologies both in the UK and occasionally overseas.
The Senior Geoscientist position requires substantial industry experience (minimum of 5 years) in some or all of the following fields: Reservoir Characterisation, Geological Modelling, Seismic Inversion, Geostatistical Modelling, Petrophysics, Rock Physics, Seismic & Quantitative Interpretation, 4D seismic and OBC data analysis, and Velocity Modelling.
The Geoscientist position requires a minimum of 3 years industry experience in some or all of the following fields: Reservoir Characterisation, Geological Modeling, Seismic Inversion, Seismic Processing, Geostatistical Modeling, Petrophysics, Rock Physics, Seismic & Quantitative Interpretation, 4D seismic, OBC data analysis and Velocity Modeling.
The QI Petrophysicist position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in conditioning logs for integration with seismic data, interpretation of p- and s-sonic logs, petrophysical evaluation, fluid substitution and rock physics modelling.
The Reservoir Engineer position requires 1-2 years experience and a minimum MSc level in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering. Job functions include:
- Static and Dynamic reservoir modelling and flow simulation
- Integration of seismic derived reservoir properties into reservoir simulation model
- Streamline and finite difference flow simulation
- Involvement in all aspects of integrated study workflows
The Reservoir Engineer candidate should have the following experience:
- Strong geological background and sound understanding of disciplines involved in integrated workflows for subsurface characterization (PP, G&G etc)
- Strong data analysis and data manipulation (pre- and post-processing) skills
- Practical experience of geomodelling and reservoir simulation software
- Comfortable in both a technical sales support role and hands-on project work
The candidate should have a knowledge of all aspects of reservoir engineering including:
- PVT and material balance, pressure transient analysis, fluids characterization modelling, special core analysis applications, Reservoir depletion and performance predictions, economic analysis.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team is vital
- Strong Windows and UNIX computer skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English with good presentation skills
Our work generally has a high impact on our customer's drilling and field development decisions. Our work is carried in close cooperation with our customers and therefore good communication and presentation skills are essential.
These are key positions wherein you shall grow to be our country experts and leaders for tomorrow. If you are looking to advance your career by gaining broad exposure to and experience with leading edge quantitative reservoir characterisation technologies, please send your resume to:
