C++ Engineers for State-of-the-Art Scientific Software

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be an expert source of knowledge in at least one of the following areas: stochastic methods, object oriented principles, geoscience, optimization, geostatistics and Bayesian applications

Software License and Contracts Administrator
You will be responsible for all administrative management related to the sales of the Fugro-Jason software packages. Since our customers are located all over the world the Software License and Contracts Administrator is a function which is performed by a team of administrators located in different time zones.
Duties include:
- All administrative activities related to a software sale:
- Create customers agreements (software and maintenance);
- Track and trace these agreements until they are signed;
- Ensure agreements are reviewed by the legal department in case of
changes to agreements or non-standard agreements;
- Filing of all agreements and related documents (both physically and electronically);
- Generation of appropriate software license keys;
- Shipment of software media by courier;
- Keep the software license database (currently in Navision) up-to-date.
- Periodic license and software renewals:
- Actively validate current customer contract and financial status;
- Generation of new license keys;
- Shipment of software media by courier.
- Co-ordinate actions between Software License and Contracts Administrator colleagues
Position requirements:
- A completed economic/administrative education (minimum is MEAO/MBO)
- Highly motivated as a self starter as well as capable working in a team;
- Able to work under time-pressure;
- Knowledge of an advanced database/accounting software package is a plus (currently we use Navision/Microsoft Dynamics);
- Competent user of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel);
- Affinity with computers is a plus;
- Fluency in English and Dutch both written and verbal.

Sr. Technical Writer (English) Geoscience Software
For our software development centre in Leidschendam, we are looking for a Sr. Technical Writer (English) Geoscience Software.
Tasks
- Designing, creating, editing and maintaining online and printed documentation, including reference manuals, software product documentation and training materials, for the Jason Geoscience Workbench
- Proof-reading and contributing to user interface textual content and design
- Designing and planning documentation for new releases of existing products
- Assisting in creating requirements documents, code level documentation and marketing materials for new products
Position Requirements:
- University degree in a technical discipline, preferably Geoscience
- Minimum 5 years experience with software documentation
- Proven ability to develop high quality documentation
- Ability to quickly learn the intricacies of new software through hands-on use
- Strong interviewing skills to elicit information from developers and domain experts
- Adept at organizing information to make it clear, accessible, and suited to the target audience
- Familiarity with Unix, Linux, Windows, HTML, FrameMaker, RoboHelp, and MS Office
