Fugro-Jason is the leading provider of seismic inversion and reservoir characterization products and services, integrating geology, petrophysics, geophysics, and engineering to construct the most accurate and detailed descriptions of your reservoir. As a result, you can produce reservoirs with fewer, more productive wells and thereby increase your profitability.

More than 20 years ago we set off as Jason and the Argonauts did in search of the Golden Fleece—in our case, a voyage of discovery to find treasures hidden in the earth. We knew that a wealth of data was available to geologists, geophysicists and engineers searching for and developing reservoirs, but that its true value would only be revealed if they could work together with common data. We dedicated ourselves to making that possible.

In 1993 our first client began using the Jason Geoscience Workbench® to transform seismic and well data into rock properties. Since that time we have extended our products and services with a great deal of additional capability, making it possible to integrate geological, geophysical, geostatistical, petrophysical and rock property information into a consistent model of the earth.

In 2004 we acquired PowerLog®, the only choice for well log analysis for many companies. Its ease of use and efficiency of operation are unsurpassed and a testament to the feedback customers have provided over the past 20 years. Designed for use by anyone who needs to provide quality well log interpretation, PowerLog is used every day by petrophysicists, geologists, reservoir engineers and others involved in oil field appraisal and development.

In 2009 we launched our Seismic to Simulation service offering, after developing and testing it with several clients. The culmination of the dream of the founders of Jason Geosystems, the key technologies that Fugro-Jason brings to bear on the Seismic to Simulation process enable customers to preserve the full value of their investment in seismic data through to the reservoir simulation model. This model will offer extremely high history matches with little or no intervention in the geoscience-based input model. These models also maintain their predictive power far longer than models built in a more traditional fashion, and they can be updated with new information in days or weeks instead of many months.
